TE-MD 80

The Einhell Digital Detector TE-MD 80 is an indispensable aid for every DIY enthusiast and professional tradesperson. Before drilling into a wall, the detector allows precise checking of whether the selected spot is safe to drill. The digital detector indicates the position of metals, wood, and live electrical cables within the wall. Ferrous metals such as steel can be detected up to a depth of 80 mm, live cables up to 60 mm, non-ferrous metals such as copper up to 38 mm, and wood up to 24 mm. The detection results are clearly signalled by an acoustic warning, the easy-to-read LCD display, and the light ring. When the ring around the centring opening lights up green, no obstacle has been found. The desired drilling spot can then be marked through the marking opening. If the ring turns orange, the detector is approaching an object, and it lights up red when the centring opening is placed directly above the detected object, such as a metal beam. The operating mode can be selected quickly and intuitively via the integrated buttons. Handling the device is particularly easy thanks to the automatic calibration. A protective slider on the back of the housing ensures protection for the wall during use. The compact design with soft grip surfaces and the included wrist strap enable comfortable one-handed operation. If the digital detector TE-MD 80 is put aside, it switches off automatically after one minute of inactivity to conserve the battery. The device requires one 9 V battery for operation (not included).
